Literary-memorial
I.K.Karpenko-Kary museum was opened on the 24th of September 1995 in Kirovograd (now -
Kropyvnytsky city) in order to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birthday of famous
dramatist, the founder of Ukrainian professional theatre Ivan Karpovich Karpenko-Kary
(Tobilevich). The museum is situated in the very building where dramatist and his family
lived from 1872 till 1883. |
